Hon Mot, Nha Trang: wild island, snorkelling and a floating bar
Hon Mot is an uninhabited island with no tourism development; its clear coves are where boat tours stop for snorkelling, a floating bar and Happy Hour.
6 min read · Updated 2026-10-28What kind of island is Hon Mot?
Hon Mot is an uninhabited island in Nha Trang Bay, near Hon Mun. There is no tourism development: no restaurants, no pier, no services on shore. What draws visitors are its small, sheltered coves with clear water.
Why do boat tours stop here?
In the calm season Hon Mot’s coves are smooth and clear, so boat tours use them for swimming, snorkelling and a floating bar. Guests play in the water beside the boat and don’t go ashore.
The typical tour: YOLO Ocean Camp
The YOLO boat stops in a Hon Mot cove around 09:30 for snorkelling, SUP and kayaks; around 11:30 the floating cocktail bar, fruit and slide open; then a live band and Vietnamese lunch at Con Se Tre. Published prices are VND 750,000 adult and VND 470,000 child (excl. VAT), with free pickup in Nha Trang city.
Fun but safe
Wear a life jacket in the water, stay near the boat after drinking, never stand on or touch coral, and don’t drop cups or rubbish in the sea. Follow the captain when the wind picks up.
Booking
Message Nha Trang World your date, guests, children’s heights and hotel; we reply in about 15 minutes and confirm after checking seats with the partner.
